A.C. Renate was founded by a group of Inter supporters ( this is why the team colours are black and blue) on the foundations of the football club that existed in the pre-war years. These supporters felt that they were obliged to help people rediscover their passion for the sport, after the hard times of the war years. The club joined F.I.G.C. effective from 1947.

A.C. Renate has won the championship five times during its long-lasting football story; the last time was in 2005 when the team got promoted to the main amateur category: “serie D”.

During the 98-99 season, Luigi Spreafico, principal of Unicar, the official importer of Yale forklift trucks for the North of Italy, became involved in the management of the club, joining Giancarlo Citterio as one of the joint presidents. With his arrival, Spreafico introduced a new sponsor and since that time the team has always displayed the logo on the chest, and focused on one way only: win.
